As well as screen print, DTG and sublimation printing, Creative Sourcing offers Direct to Fabric, or DTF printing. This is a digital print process that prints directly onto fabric rolls. The print process is best suited to natural fibres such as cotton, silk, denim, cotton jerseys and even leather.
This technology is first of its kind in the UK. The digital, direct to fabric process means that highly intricate, multi coloured designs can be printed directly to the fabric- meaning no need for screens or litho plates to be set up. Ideal prints are repeat patterns- ranging from hand drawn illustrations to graphic images.
A sustainable aspect to DTF is that brands do not need to commit to large lengths of fabrics, so waste should be low. Similarly, brands can offer a wider range of print designs within a collection. The width of the fabric is 180cm wide.
This fabric printing process is very popular to high-end, premium brands for things like printed jacket linings and jerseys for athleisure wear. It’s also particularly good for babywear and kidswear, especially using organic cotton jerseys. When using woven cotton, the DTF printing is perfect for bedding such as duvet sets and pillow cases.
As well as printing onto natural fabric, we can sublimate man made fibres, on rolls. This would include polyester or poly-lycra blends. We can mill these fabrics within the UK.
We also offer CMT (cut make trim) manufacturing for jersey products such as babywear (baby growns, leggings, tees and sweats), kids to youth clothing and unisex casualwear such as T shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies and joggers- perfect for repeat printed cotton fabrics.
